Trained spotters reported 4.1 inches at 2 NNE Franklin Lakes. A cocorahs observer reported 4.0 inches in Oakland, and the public reported 3.0 inches at 1 S Glen Rock.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. An accumulating snowfall occurred across Northeastern New Jersey.
