Newark Airport reported 4.2 inches, a cocorahs observer reported 2.8 inches in Clark, and the public reported 2.5 inches at 1 WNW Linden.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. An accumulating snowfall occurred across Northeastern New Jersey.
