Cocorahs observers reported 5.0 inches in Stony Point, and 4.9 inches at 0.6 SE New Hempstead. Trained spotters reported 4.2 inches at both New City and 1 E Congers, and 4.0 inches in Nyack.

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. Advisory to Warning level snow fell across Southeastern New York.
