Tatanka Prairie RAWS reported wind gusts to 61 mph.

An Alberta Clipper moved through the region bring strong winds to western and central North Dakota including the James River Valley, with a secondary front moving through later in the day into the evening enhancing the winds. The strong winds were accompanied by light snow in some areas, resulting in reduced visibility at times. The strongest reported wind gusts of 64 mph occurred at the Stanley Airport in Mountrail County.
