The McCook Airport ASOS station named KMCK recorded a 60 mph wind gust on two separate occasions.

A strong cold front brought wind gusts of 60-75 mph across southwest Nebraska to just past midnight on the 18th. The strongest wind gust was 75 mph located 8 NNE Culbertson. In Dundy county, 10 NW Max an semi with an empty cattle trailer was also blown over from the winds.
