A trained spotter reported 6.3 inches at 1 NNE Manorville. The public reported 6.1 inches at 1 NNW Remsemburg-Speonk. Cocorahs reported 5.9 inches in Center Moriches and a cooperative observer reported 5.9 inches in Bridgehampton.

Wider weather episode

A progressive shortwave from the west overran a cold high pressure system resulting in a significant snowfall across the region. Warm advection aloft was the main driver of the snowfall for much of the event. Advisory to Warning level snow fell across Southeastern New York.
