A brief strong wind gust of 61 MPH measured at the WYDOT site at Skyline, near the Colorado border.
Wider weather episode
A potent jet stream moved over Wyoming and the high plains resulting in another round of strong gusty winds, and occasionally very strong winds across the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming. Gusts of 60 to 70 MPH were common, with some gusts as high as 88 MPH.
