The Hill City Airport ASOS named KHLC recorded multiple wind gusts ranging from 59-69 mph. A WeatherLink station named WL-HILLCITY0.29W located in Hill City recorded wind gusts of 58 and 59 mph.

Numerous wind gusts ranging from 58-81 mph occurred across northwest Kansas. The strongest wind gust of 81 mph was located 10 NE Wallace in Logan county. Zero visibility in blowing dust was also reported 3 NE Seguin in Sheridan county which led to the closure of Highway 24.
