High winds caused damage throughout the city of Aberdeen. A large branch fell on the south side of town, damaging a vehicle and a street light, while a downtown storefront window was shattered. Additionally, a section of fence was blown down at the residence of a National Weather Service employee. Power was lost for 1,791 residents.

A low-pressure system zipped across northeast South Dakota, resulting in powerful northwest winds. Widespread wind gusts in excess of 58 mph were reported, with 55 total reports of high winds associated with this system. The highest recorded gust reached 77 mph at the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) weather station in Clark. The Aberdeen Regional Airport ASOS recorded a peak gust of 74 mph. The winds caused significant damage in Aberdeen, including blown-over trees, fence damage, and shattered windows at a downtown business. Power outages affected 4,267 residents across the region, including 1,791 in Brown County and 1,192 in Spink County.
