Two observation sites, Vedauwoo along Interstate 80 and Pumkin Vine along US highway 287, reported a few brief gusts of 58 MPH.

Wider weather episode

A potent jet stream impacted southeast Wyoming with some mountain snowfall and areas of strong gusty winds from the afternoon of December 21st through December 22nd. Wind gusts were generally between 60 to 70 MPH, with a few locations observing higher gusts.
