Most WYDOT sites reported strong wind gusts of 58 to 65 MPH. Peak wind gust of 70 MPH measured at Cooper Cove.
Wider weather episode
A short duration gap wind event occurred along Interstate 80 northwest of Laramie for several hours during the early morning hours of Christmas Eve. Although it was brief, gusts around 70 MPH were observed.
