Periods of strong gusty winds were reported in the southern Laramie Range along Interstate 80. A peak gusty of 66 MPH was measured south of Buford Wyoming.

A brief high wind event occurred mainly during the afternoon hours of December 28th. Infrequent strong wind gusts between 60 to 70 MPH were reported.
