A three hour period of strong winds impacted the Interstate 80 corridor between Elk Mountain and southeast of Arlington. Peak gust of 66 MPH measured at the WYDOT sensor at County Road 402, 3 miles southeast of Elk Mountain.
Wider weather episode
Strong gap winds briefly impacted portions of Interstate 80 between Elk Mountain and the Interstate 80 Summit for the early morning hours of December 30th. Wind gusts were generally between 55 to 65 MPH.
