Light snow fell across Cumberland County on the morning of December 2, with up to 2 inches of snow being observed. One man was injured in a single vehicle crash in Upper Allen Township when the vehicle struck and embankment and overturned as a result of snowy road conditions.

Surface trough across the Mid-Atlantic continue to progress northeastward during the late evening hours of December 1st and lifting into central Pennsylvania during the early morning hours of December 2nd. Initial moisture was very limited, which allowed for snowfall to hold off and begin during the early morning hours of December 2nd, continuing into the afternoon hours before the trough and better moisture returns moved northeast of the area. As the first widespread snowfall of the season, multiple accidents were reported across central Pennsylvania, closing multiple high-speed roadways for over four hours. No injuries were reported despite the accidents.
