Wider weather episode
A stalled front was located just off the Carolina Coast during the afternoon and early evening of November second. A low pressure system then developed along this stalled boundary and lifted north and east during the overnight hours of November second to the third with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing along the coast of Eastern North Carolina while light rain developed well inland across the Coastal Plain. With marginal values of instability and wind shear noted offshore a few isolated storms become strong to severe in nature bringing a threat for strong wind gusts to the Gulf Stream Waters between Cape Lookout and Cape Hatteras.
