Event narrative
The month started out with Extreme(D3) drought over the entire zone but the eastern half improved to Severe(D2) drought by the end of the month. The Cliff Cooperative Observer reported 1.30 inches of precipitation which was 0.46 inches above normal.
Wider weather episode
Slightly above normal precipitation in November for most of southern New Mexico helped improve drought conditions a little bit over western zones.
