This significant winter storm brought between 10 and 13 inches of snow to Clayton County between November 28th and the 30th. The highest snowfall report in the county was located 1 mile east-northeast of Volga where 12.1 inches of snow was observed.

Wider weather episode

A significant and prolonged winter storm moved into the region late on November 28th, bringing moderate snow for a roughly 36 hour period before exiting the region by the early morning hours on November 30th. This storm was particularly impactful as it occurred right after Thanksgiving resulting in extra difficulties for holiday travel. Overall, the storm brought snowfall accumulations of 7 to 13 inches across much of northeast Iowa.
