A cold airmass and large trough over the region, combined with warm lake temperatures setup a favorable lake effect response off of both Lake Erie and Lake Ontario from the afternoon on November 10th through the early afternoon of November 11th.
While the snowfall didn't result in a widespread significant snowfall, some reports for Oswego and Chautauqua counties were above warning criteria. Some of the notable amounts include: 11.3 inches in Central Square, 8.0 inches in Constantia, 8.0 inches in Jamestown and 7.2 inches in Kennedy.
