Multiple sensors recorded wind gusts between 50 and 55 MPH along Interstate 80. A WYDOT sensor at Vedauwoo recorded a maximum wind gust of 58 MPH at 5:32 AM MST on 1/10.

A strong pressure gradient over southeast Wyoming produced strong winds over the usual wind prone areas.
