Southwest of Rushylvania, 4.3 inches of snow was measured, while another report to the southeast showed 4 inches had fallen. A spotter in Lakeview measured 3.6 inches, while the cooperative observer north of Huntsville measured 3.1 inches.

Wider weather episode

Strong mid level shortwave energy moved southeast from Lake Michigan and settled over Kentucky by the afternoon. Snowfall was found northeast of this track, with most locations receiving between 1.5 and 3 inches of accumulation.
