As Arctic high pressure moved into the area, a stiff northwest breeze resulted in some dangerous cold and wind chills for west-central Minnesota. The Wheaton ASOS and Minnesota Department of Transportation mesonet stations 3 miles west southwest of Graceville and 3 miles west of Odessa would all record wind chills as low as 45 degrees below zero.
