The first accumulating snowfall of the year occurred in multiple rounds from the evening of Saturday the 8th through the early afternoon of Monday the 10th for the north to northwest wind snow belts. Snowfall amounts in the most persistent bands ranged from 6 to 18 inches. Roads became snow covered and slippery, and the snow resulted in many schools and services being closed on Monday the 10th.
