A strong cold front moved through the region during the early morning hours of the 16th. Strong winds aloft over the Texas Panhandle spread into the extreme southern Texas Panhandle creating several high wind gusts.

60 mph at Lesley (Hall County), and

59 mph at Tulia (Swisher County).
