Event narrative

Generally 11 to 15 inches of snow fell with some of the higher amounts being 15.1 inches in South Kingstown and 15.1 inches in North Kingstown.

Wider weather episode

A low pressure moved through the eastern U.S. bringing a plume of deep moisture over top of an arctic airmass which brough 1-2 feet of snow to southern New England Sunday through Tuesday morning. The biggest total was 27 inches in Gloucester, MA.
