Multiple public reports of quarter to golf ball sized hail were received between Anderson and Honea Path, from the Belton Highway and Highway 252 intersection to just north of Honea Path.

Isolated thunderstorms developed in the vicinity of a stationary front across upstate South Carolina during the afternoon. One isolated severe storm moved from Anderson County across Laurens County, producing hail up to 2-inch diameter.
