The following subsequent snowfall reports from the public were as follows; 14.0 inches in 1 W Annadale, 13.5 inches in 2 NE Westerleigh, 13.0 inches in Dongan Hills, and 8.0 inches in 1 S Westerleigh. The estimated average snowfall for the zone was around 12 inches.

The wider storm

A low pressure system emerged out of the Southern Plains and Texas and rode northeast through the Tennessee Valley and the Appalachians, before emerging just off the New Jersey coast. This produced a heavy snowfall across all of Southeastern New York, with sleet, some of it heavy across a large portion of the region.
