Multiple high wind gusts were recorded at mesonet sites, including 63 mph at 1009 AM Local Standard Time at Stony Brook (measurement taken at 159 feet above ground), and a measured wind gust of 62 mph at Eatons Neck Lighthouse, NY at 443 PM Local Standard Time at an elevation of 71 feet above ground.
