Multiple high wind gusts were recorded at ASOS and mesonet sites, including 64 mph at mesonet station XHCK - Great South Bay in Amityville at 942 AM, 60 mph at ASOS station KISP McArthur Airport at 953 AM, 58 mph at mesonet station XBLU - Blue Point at 954 AM, 59 mph at mesonet station FW3143 - West Gilgo Beach at 955 AM, 62 mph at ASOS station KFRG - Farmingdale Airport at 956 AM, and 60 mph at the Brookhaven CWOP station at 1000 AM. Additionally, a trained spotter measured a gust of 66 mph in Farmingville at 1025 AM. All times are reported in Local Standard Time.
