There were multiple reports of downed trees or limbs in the area, including a NWS Employee reporting a large downed tree branch on Montauk Highway in Remsenburg-Speonk at 1005 AM Local Standard Time, and a trained spotter reporting a large tree down on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton at 1035 AM Local Standard Time.

Wider weather episode

A cold front passed through southeastern New York during the afternoon of December 19, 2025. The pressure gradient tightened in response, and produced high winds during the morning and early evening hours on this day.
