A mesonet station in Syosset recorded at 62 mph high wind gust at 924 AM Local Standard Time. Additionally, broadcast media reported live wires down on a car, setting it on fire along with an adjacent vehicle also catching fire on West Mill Drive in Great Neck at approximately 1015 AM Local Standard Time.
