A couple of high wind gusts were recorded by mesonet stations. This included a gust of 65 mph at station XHAM - Hammonasset in Madison at 1023 AM Local Standard Time. Additionally, a gust of 58 mph was recorded by a station in Stony Creek at 1041 AM Local Standard Time.

Wider weather episode

A cold front passed through southern Connecticut during the afternoon of December 19, 2025. The pressure gradient tightened in response, and produced high winds during the morning into early afternoon hours on this day.
