Event narrative
High winds, occurring behind an exiting cold front, blew down a tree down onto a power line three miles north of Meadows of Dan. Additionally, a tree was also blown down two miles west-northwest of Check and another four miles south-southeast of Floyd. The downed tree near Floyd also blocked both lanes of Route 615 near Huckleberry Ridge Road. Damage values are estimated.
