A 60 mph peak wind gust measured twice at HKFW1 (Huckleberry RAWS) at 0211 and again 0511 on 11/5 with wind gusts near to above warning level criteria 0200 11/5 to 0600 11/5.
Wider weather episode
A strong low pressure system supported by a negatively tilted upper-level trough drove a cold-frontal boundary through the region supporting a period of high winds. This system coinciding with the arrival of Perigean Spring Tides (also known as King Tides) also led to localized coastal flooding.
