Event narrative

A video posted on social media showed water across the road in Raymond Washington near the intersection of Willapa Pl Way and Ocean Ave at 1315 on Thursday November 6th. It appears a car was stuck in the water and was in the process of getting towed/rescued.

Wider weather episode

A strong low pressure system supported by a negatively tilted upper-level trough drove a cold-frontal boundary through the region supporting a period of high winds. This system coinciding with the arrival of Perigean Spring Tides (also known as King Tides) also led to localized coastal flooding.
