A 63 mph peak wind gust measured was at 1345 Nov 6th at Mesonet site ODT38 Yaquina Bay Bridge. Gusts were at or near warning level criteria from 0940 Nov 5th to 1500 Nov 6th.

Wider weather episode

A strong low pressure system supported by a negatively tilted upper-level trough drove a cold-frontal boundary through the region supporting a period of high winds. Directly behind this frontal boundary a weakly unstable but highly sheared atmospheric environment lead to thunderstorms, one of which was severe.
