Mesonet station PC441 1080 measured a peak wind gusts of 60 mph at 1300 on Nov 5th coinciding with the passage of the Severe Thunderstorm.
Wider weather episode
A strong low pressure system supported by a negatively tilted upper-level trough drove a cold-frontal boundary through the region supporting a period of high winds. Directly behind this frontal boundary a weakly unstable but highly sheared atmospheric environment lead to thunderstorms, one of which was severe.
