Flow became westerly and the atmosphere cooled in the wake of a cold front, leading to lake effect snow developing over north-central NY Saturday morning of the 21st before tapering off later Saturday afternoon. Snow bands downwind of Lake Ontario led to accumulations of 7 to 14 inches in northern areas of Oneida County.
