Wider weather episode
A strong clipper system impacted southern Vermont on December 10, bringing moderate to heavy snow across the high elevations of the Southern Green Mountains and light to locally moderate accumulations in lower-lying areas. The heaviest snow not only resulted from the adjacency to the best forcing from the storm, but localized terrain enhancement. Within the Southern Green Mountains, anywhere from about 6 to nearly 10 inches of snow accumulated. Elsewhere, accumulations of about 1 to 4 inches were common.
Key impacts: traffic accidents, travel delays.
