Wider weather episode
Another complex winter storm impacted southern Vermont, this time just after Christmas, December 26-27, 2025. After days worth of storm track shifting in the guidance, the resulting more northerly track of the storm kept Bennington and Windham Counties on the outskirts of the heaviest area of snowfall. Across the highest elevations of the Southern Green Mountains, accumulations of 4 to 6 inches were largely reported. However, in the lower terrain, only about 2.5 to 3.5 inches accumulated in most areas.
Key impacts: traffic accidents, travel delays.
