Following the passage of a cold front, northwesterly flow over Lake Ontario led to the development of lake effect snow over portions of central NY. With the support of deep moisture and strong lift, narrow bands of heavy snow were observed. There were multiple reports of 7 to 8 inches in Onondaga, Madison, and Southern Oneida County.
