Snowfall totals for the event were mainly below 6 inches. One location near Shell Lake did record a slightly higher amount of 6.2 inches.
Wider weather episode
A clipper system moved northwest to southeast to the south of the Northland on the 9th into the 10th. This track brought an area of heavy snowfall from the Brainerd Lakes and Walker areas eastward into the I-35 corridor and into parts of northwest Wisconsin. Snowfall totals across the Burnett and Washburn county areas were in the 4 to 6 inch range with a high report of 7 inches near Hertel.
