Heavy snow of 4 to 6 inches fell in Floyd County.

A clipper type system rotated southeast into the Ohio Valley during the evening hours of Thursday, December 11, 2025. An area of low pressure at the surface moved across Missouri, with a warm front extending eastward through the Tennessee Valley. Enhanced mid-level frontogenesis and deep moisture contributed to the development of heavy snow bands across southern Indiana and north-central Kentucky. This system brought 3-6 inches of snowfall to southern Indiana and north-central Kentucky.
