In the wake of the freezing rain/ice storm, a cold front crossed the region bringing a return to colder conditions as well as strong winds from the afternoon hours on December 29 through the afternoon hours on December 30, 2025. Wind gusts on the order of 40 to 55 mph were observed with a peak wind gust of 54 mph at the North Adams Harriman-and-West Airport.
