Breezy west to northwest winds with occasional gusts around 20 mph caused dangerous intervals of wind chills between -6 to locally -23 in Perry County, MO on the 26th. Dangerous wind chills eventually came to an end during the morning hours of the 27th. The one exception was south of route 34 and along highway 60 where wind chills warmed above -5 during the late morning hours of the 26th due to calmer winds.
