A large tree limb was ripped from a local tree by marginally severe thunderstorm wind gusts and blocked a lane of traffic outside of Lost Sock Laundry in Glade Springs.

Wider weather episode

Strong cold front brought a line of showers and thunderstorms that were able to successfully transport strong to severe wind gusts to the surface in portions of southwestern Virginia.
