Several trees were blown down by powerful thunderstorm wind gusts on Delmer Salts Road and on Carroll Creek Road at the steeplechase.

The wider storm

Strong cold front brought a line of showers and thunderstorms that were able to successfully transport strong to severe wind gusts to the surface in portions of East Tennessee. Additionally, winds aloft ahead of the front produced several instances of high wind criteria non-thunderstorm wind gusts.
