The observer located 5.7 miles east-southeast of Sunbury measured 5.1 inches of snow. Another observer 2 miles north of Magnetic Springs measured 5 inches, and the EMA measured 4.8 inches southwest of Powell.

An upper level disturbance passed across the Ohio Valley during the early morning hours of the second. Ahead of this snow spread from west to east, beginning in the evening and ending shortly after daybreak.
