The EMA measured 5.8 inches of snow 4 miles north of Newark. A CoCoRaHS observer in Pataskala measured 5.5 inches. The bulk of observations across the county showed that between 4.5 and 5 inches were common.
Wider weather episode
An upper level disturbance passed across the Ohio Valley during the early morning hours of the second. Ahead of this snow spread from west to east, beginning in the evening and ending shortly after daybreak.
