Event narrative
Snow accumulated between 4 and 8 inches.
Wider weather episode
A fast moving clipper system tracked north of our region from early Tuesday morning through the afternoon, bringing accumulating snow primarily to the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. The heaviest snowfall occurred between Tuesday morning and noon. While warm air aloft caused a transition to a wintry mix and light ice at higher elevations, precipitation remained mostly snow. This resulted in accumulations of 3 to 8 inches, along with a light glaze of ice in some spots.
