Station 9654 Parker Pass recorded a gust of 60 mph 4 miles Southeast of Chatcolet at 0700 LST. A semi truck was blown on its side near Moscow. Downed trees blocked US 95 South of Plummer. Moscow area had several trees and powerlines downed. Damage cost is estimated.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved through Idaho Panhandle early morning on December 17. It brought gusts in the range 60 to 72 mph. Numerous of reports of downed trees and powerlines. One fatality was reported in the Fernan Lake Village area from tree falling on house. Other minor structure damage was reported as some trees fell on houses.
